They don't know yet what the bet will be, though they promise it will be a good one.
Lisa Cole, a Cubs fan from Belleville, and golfing pal Karen Bevenue of Millstadt, a Redbird rooter, came to Friday's game decked out in their teams' colors.
"I just can't believe we made it," said Cole, who inherited her allegiance from her father, a die-hard Cubs fan.
"Every season, I wait for something to go wrong and, usually by May, we know our season is over,' Cole said. "But this year, it was September and it was like 'Oh my God, this might happen'.
