With a 3-1 win over the El Paso Chihuahuas on Sunday, the Memphis Redbirds won their their first Pacific Coast League title since 2009 and third dating back to 2000. Champions of the PCL, the Redbirds will advance to the Triple-A National Championship Game.
As he has done consistently during the 2017 campaign, Redbirds infielder Patrick Wisdom delivered at the dish. With a runner on and one out in the fifth of a scoreless game, Wisdom pulled a two-run homer to left field to put Memphis ahead in the game and punch their ticket to a pennant.
