The schedule, as grueling as any sportscaster can encounter, now is an October regularity for Joe Buck. He has become accustomed to navigating a pressurized marathon maze in which he broadcasts games in two sports and multiple cities on a daily basis for days on end.
Buck, the lead NFL and MLB play-by-play announcer for Fox Sports, is in his third fall of being on the road to call regular-season football games and postseason baseball contests with few breaks.
He already had an arduous month of broadcasting both sports before Fox Sports gained the NFL’s Thursday night over-the-air TV package in 2018.
