“We’d like him to get more than six,” Shildt quipped, referring to Martinez’s ability to record three outs with six pitches at High-A Peoria over the weekend. “We’d like him to get six and then go back out and get some more. If he doesn’t get more than 10 pitches in his first inning, he’ll probably go out and get another 10.”
