CINCINNATI • First baseman Matt Adams is back with the Cardinals after coming off the 15-day disabled list (right shoulder inflammation) on Friday. And righthander Mike Leake, battling a case of shingles for the better part of two weeks, is expected to be here Sunday to throw a bullpen session, preparatory to his coming off the disabled list in Pittsburgh next week.
Next up could be catcher Brayan Pena, who has missed most of the season with two knee injuries and one surgery. He should come off the DL in Pittsburgh and star rookie shortstop Aledmys Diaz is hitting and throwing in Cardinals camp in Jupiter, Fla.
