Kelly, Grichuk hit homers; Piscotty is hit

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. • _Carson Kelly, the catcher of the future for the Cardinals _ whenever Yadier Molina steps down _ snacked a home run and Randal Grichuk added a three-run shot in a four-run sixth inning off New York Mets reliever Stolmy Pimentel, shooting the Cardinals past the New York Mets 11-6.

But there was other more significant action in the inning. Before Grichuk’s homer, Stephen Piscotty was hit in the left arm by a pitch and went to the ground. He left the game. Soon, so did Pimentel, ejected by home-plate umpire Angel Hernandez, after Jonathan Rodriguez also was hit by a pitch following Grichuk's drive.
