- Sure seems like file and trial is the standard now, and that's not changing as long as it's successful and teams aren't seeing any advantage in midpoint agreements. If anything, it does seem like maybe the union, players, and agents could take a cue from the league and the teams. Major League Baseball and the teams work together and build strong cases, and the union could support the players and agents with the same kind of brain power to make better arguments. Sure seems like some of the players who lost just didn't have the right comps to win.
