Molina originally in Cards' lineup, then scratched
Yadier Molina, who had to be pulled midway through Game 3 after he aggravated a left thumb injury, was initially back in the lineup for Game 4, but then was scratched. He's replaced by Tony Cruz.
Molina has been playing all series with a torn ligament in his left thumb. He is wearing a splint, and is 1-for-8 in the series.
Second baseman Kolten Wong moves up in the order to bat seventh. Randal Grichuk draws the start in center field, his first at the position since Sept.
