For instance, Stan Musial finished his career with 1,815 hits at home and 1,815 on the road. Two Cardinals, Omar Olivares and Skip Schumaker, have worn their initials as uniform numbers (00 and 55). On May 7 in Game 7, No. 7 Patrick Maroon scored the double-overtime winner against Dallas, while another hometown hero, David Freese, hit his famous homer in the 11th inning to help the Cards win their 11th title in, yep, ’11 (and against Dallas’ baseball team).
