They say the colors change in autumn, and I swear the shade of Cardinal red gets just a little brighter, incandescent even, in October.
Eh, maybe that’s just the way we see it in St. Louis — red is red, last place or first — but you know what? St. Louisans see it, or more importantly, believe in it. October, once a rite of passage, is now a ritual.
