In today's paper, my column was about Jeff Albert, the Cardinals' new hitting coach. Here are additional quotes and tidbits about the former Astros assistant hitting coach.
• Albert lives in the Jupiter, Fla., area – he first worked in the Cards organization, and after the 2012 season joined the Astros organization, which now has its spring training facility in nearby West Palm Beach.
“I don't know if you know this but Jeff and Matt Holliday have a working history,” said Dillon Lawson, a close friend of Albert's and minor-league hitting coordinator for the Yankees.
