For 17 minutes on Wednesday, the Cardinals hitting coach answered question after question from journalists, including this reporter, about how his 2018 Astros could’ve stolen opponents’ signs from the video room, relayed them to the dugout, and the Astros assistant hitting coach never knew about it.
The biggest news in baseball this offseason was, Albert said Wednesday, “news to me.”
He was asked if he knew what was going on.
