Harry Caray gets the call for Cubs World Series win in Budweiser tribute

Harry Caray predicted it, but didn't live to see it.

Nonetheless, Budweiser gave the legendary sports broadcaster the call as the Cubs emerged victorious in Game 7 of the World Series, through the magic of editing.

The Cubs win may not fill Cardinals fans with joy, but Caray broadcast several World Series in a long career in St. Louis. He spent his final years as an announcer in Chicago before his death in 1998. The Budweiser video finally gives him the chance to do it for the Cubbies.

The sort-of St. Louis-based beer also paid tribute to the Cubs by airing an old ad featuring Caray right after the final out.
