- Goldschmidt was off the charts as a No. 2 hitter for a month or so last year in Arizona and won't be required to take any pitches to help the leadoff man steal because Carpenter isn't going anywhere.DeJong, very good with men in scoring position, can be more selective sandwiched between Carpenter-Goldschmidt and Ozuna-Molina. Bader and Wong can bring a speed look to the bottom of the order. Once they have established themselves as better on-base players, perhaps they can move up but they aren't there yet.
