For all that happened, most of it not good, in a 20-hour period Tuesday and Wednesday, the Cardinals didn’t lose to the Philadelphia Phillies because they couldn’t come through often enough with runners in scoring position. They didn’t have anybody in scoring position in either of two games until the eighth inning of Wednesday’s 5-0 loss to the Phils at Busch Stadium.
