Dexter Fowler, who returned from the 10-day disabled list Friday night, had a scheduled day off Saturday but said his previously sore right heel felt fine and he expected to play Sunday in the final game before the All-Star break.
Fowler, who struck out as a pinch hitter, probably again will be hitting third, which he was Friday when he homered and lined out in four at-bats. The homer was the sixth in his last 12 games for the former leadoff man and, perhaps, also former No. 2 hitter in the Cardinals’ lineup.
“I take the same at-bats, first, second or third — wherever I’m at,” said Fowler.
