MIAMI — A couple of years ago, as Yadier Molina was beginning to wind down his career with the Cardinals, the discussion turned to his possibly managing some day. But Molina never had seemed comfortable dealing with the media and it was pointed out that it might be a problem talking to the press both before and after a game.
Molina jabbed a reporter in the chest, smiled and said, “No. That would be a problem for you.”
Now, here he is managing the Puerto Rican team in the World Baseball Classic after spending the fall and winter months managing a team in the Venezuelan Winter League.
