Those familiar with this prestigious baseball blog are probably aware of this writer’s love of silly baseball things like bobbleheads, bat-retrieving Retrievers, and of course, walk-up songs. Let us focus today on the third thing.
You see, the walk-up song is beautiful for several reasons. First of all, it helps break up some of the monotony of ballpark sounds. Do not get me wrong, I love ballpark sounds. Put that on a white noise machine and I would use that to fall asleep in sweet, undisturbed bliss every night. But that is the thing: I do not want to fall asleep when I am watching baseball.
