The Cardinals’ wheezing lineup left them exposed to failings of their defense, their bullpen, and the umpires as the Chicago Cubs swept a doubleheader at Wrigley Field on Tuesday. Tyler Lyons and Tim Cooney each provided the Cardinals with at least five innings and made sturdy cases to start Sunday in Pittsburgh.
