Cardinal turned Cub Jason Heyward made ripples this offseason when his comments about the Cards' aging core provided fodder for fan bases of the bitter rivals.
Cardinals third baseman Matt Carpenter said he took no offense.
"I've even talked to him (Heyward) about it," Carpenter said Saturday at Winter Warm-Up. "I think that came out a little different than he meant for that to come out.
