Cardinals stuck in place with 2-3 record

The Cardinals have in their press guide a section entitled “Last Time It Happened” and, in light of the forced shutdown of the club’s season for what well might be as long as two weeks, a review is in order.

The Cardinals have played five games, or about one-third as many as most of the other major league teams.

They are 2-3, or under .500 for the first time since last July 12 when, in their first game after the All-Star break, Arizona’s Robbie Ray beat them 4-2 to send the Cardinals to a 44-45 record. They would finish 91-71.
