Cardinals stretch lead over Marlins to 7-2 in four-run fifth

JUPITER, Fla. —Harrison Bader’s bases-loaded, two-run single capped a four-run fifth inning as the Cardinals opened up a 7-2 lead over the Miami Marlins Sunday.

Yadier Molina drove in his second run of the game with a single and Tyler O'Neill was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to nudge across another run.

Wong leaves game in first

Kolten Wong started a three-run Cardinals rally in the first inning when he was hit in the left leg by a pitch from Miami’s Pablo Lopez. But, shortly after trotting home on a two-run double by Paul Goldschmidt, Wong left the game and walked with an athletic trainer toward the clubhouse to be examined further.
