LHP TYLER LYONS OPTIONED TO MEMPHIS
SAN DIEGO, Calif., August 23, 2015 – The St. Louis Cardinals have recalled infielder Greg Garcia from Memphis (AAA) today. Left-handed pitcher Tyler Lyons was optioned to Memphis following Saturday night’s game at San Diego.
Garcia, 25, was batting .294 with 36 RBI through 94 games for Memphis, playing primarily at shortstop with starts at third base and second base. He ranked 20th in the Pacific Coast League in batting (.294), 4th in on-base percentage (.
