Making his second rehabilitation start at Class AAA Memphis after being out nearly two months with an oblique tear, Cardinals ace Jack Flaherty encountered a 32-pitch first inning Sunday in which he allowed two runs to Atlanta’s Gwinnett club. But Flaherty required just 26 pitches in the next two innings and finished off a 58-pitch outing, in which he threw 38 strikes and fanned five over three frames.
The righthander gave up four hits, including a two-run triple, to former Atlanta infielder Johan Camargo, and walked one in a game Memphis lost 4-2 as the Stripers scored twice in the ninth.
