Carlos Martinez took the mound for the Cards, who were in the cream Saturday home jerseys with the red piping. Jackie Bradley, Jr. popped a low-and-in 2-2 slider to short left for O’Neill to start things off. Martinez got ahead of Christian Yelich 0-2, then left a slider a little too far up, and Yelich sharply grounded it through the right side for a base hit past the glove of the diving Edman. Avisail Garcia struck out swinging at a 3-2 low-and-away slider. Yelich was running for 2nd base on the pitch, and from the original camera angle, it looked like Yadi got him on a strike-em-out, throw-em-out double play.
