You may remember that the day of Wednesday’s game, the Avalanche didn’t hold their customary morning skate. One of their players, later assumed to be starting goaltender Philipp Grubauer, tested positive for COVID-19. The rest of the team had tested negative that day, so the game went on.
Today, the game’s not going on for the Avalanche. Their games through April 20th have been postponed due to multiple players landing on the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol list.
Of course, the team that they were scheduled to play on April 20th? The St. Louis Blues.
