Stars at Blues Preview: Dallas, St. Louis both want to hit the reset button

Opening night resulted in an overtime loss for the Blues, so the fairytale victory didn’t materialize. It’s one game. It’s fine.

Wednesday night’s loss had some good and bad to take away from its very small sample size. The first of the Capitals’ goals was scored by Alex “we gave up defending against him five years ago” Ovechkin, who is one of those generational players that thankfully not every team can lay claim to. The other regulation goal was a power play goal by Dmitri Orlov that came on a phantom tripping penalty on Tyler Bozak.
