St. Louis Blues: Should The Blues Consider Luke Schenn?

The St. Louis Blues have lost two defensemen to injury so far this season, and one due to his game being tremendously awful. Robert Bortuzzo has been out since late October, and there is no update on Carl Gunnarsson, who was hurt a few days ago.

St. Louis does have options to replace these players. Jay Bouwmeester had been a healthy scratch up until the Gunnarsson injury, but that has forced the Blues to play every defenseman on the NHL roster.

Enter Luke Schenn. The former top-five overall pick by Toronto in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft was just placed on waivers by the Anaheim Ducks after signing with Anaheim over the summer in free agency.
