The St. Louis Blues are right in the middle, perhaps even early stages, of their championship window. They have built a model franchise by developing their own players and supplementing that with wise trades and keen free agent signings.
However, at this moment in time, it feels like the ranks of the prospects are getting a little thin. Some of that is due to draft picks being included in trades.
Another part has to do with players just being so young. Adding into that, the Blues have a decent amount of foreign-born players, which can add to struggles due to cultural differences.
