David Perron’s money in overtime. His goal in extra time got the Blues the win over the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night, and this isn’t a new talent. He was scoring overtime game winners like clockwork last season as well - four, to be exact, plus a bonus shootout game winner as well.
When asked where all this is coming from, Perron had a simple answer:
“I get on the ice,” Perron said, only half-joking. “I don’t know. Early in my career I didn’t go out a lot (in overtime). Even 4-on-3’s, I don’t remember being out there too often to be honest with you in my career except maybe my last three (years).
