Jake Allen is in net tonight against the Oilers, because the last time he was in net against them he skated off with a 5-2 victory. Also, he needs to get in there once in a while; Jordan Binnington can’t play every game.
Or, well, maybe he’s being showcased for a trade! Maybe it’s a goalie controversy! Maybe Twitter needs to calm down. We’ve gotten First Half Jake so far, and Allen’s numbers (5-2-2, .925 SV%, 2.33) are solid. Give him a home start once in a while. He’s earned it.
