To be clear, Mark Scheifele isn’t exactly known as a dirty player - he’s the Jets’ leading regular season goal scorer. The Jets, however, have a reputation as being a heavy team to play against and the Blues got a good blow at that last night. The Jets were all over the Blues to begin with before St. Louis got their footing and controlled the conclusion to the game. One of the first players to get a taste of the Jets’ heavy hitting was Jordan Binnington, who was finishing playing the puck when this happened:
When asked after the game about the hit, a terse Scheifele responded with a “that’s not my style” quote:
“It’s a tough play,” he said.
