Last night during the game between the Blues and Ducks, Blues defenseman Jay Bouwmeester had a cardiac issue on the bench. He lost consciousness and the defibrillator had to be used, but leaving the arena he was conscious and later at the hospital he was alert and in good spirits. The incident caused both the Blues and Ducks to mutually agree to postpone last night’s game.
Bouwmeetser is currently undergoing a battery of tests to determine what happened, but Doug Armstrong said that the outlook is “positive” this afternoon during his press conference.
