Let's all admit it - when Jake Allen went down with an injury against the Colorado Avalanche, most of our first thoughts (after "damn it) were probably some variation of "how long until Brian Elliott gets hurt too?"
Our answer: a game and a practice.
Elliott left today's practice after a puck hit him in the wrist. Right after practice, coach Ken Hitchcock commented to the press:
"We think so," Hitchcock said when asked if Elliott was OK. "We'll let you know later in the day.
