Jim Montgomery’s tenure with the Dallas Stars ended with a cloud of questions and speculation earlier this season, when he was dismissed by the team. He’s made peace with the firing and the reasons behind it, telling TSN’s Pierre Le Brun:
“When I looked in the mirror, people wonder why I’m thankful for the Dallas Stars and Jim Nill for what they did even though I understand that I disappointed Jim Nill, the staff I worked with and the players especially. I let them down. That firing was deserved. I wasn’t doing the right things.
