It was a great run while it lasted, but the possibility of seeing Milan Lucic suit up for the St. Louis Blues this season has ended. After terminating the contract of Alexandre Texier, the 37-year-old Lucic also found himself on that same outcome, with the Blues terminating his AHL tryout.
There was a lot of hope that Lucic could eventually get himself back to NHL-ready, with some conditioning and re-learning the game in Springfield and the AHL. But the enforcer was away from the game for too long, and his age has slowed him down considerably.
