Most of us have spent the afternoon doing one of two things - watching the Cardinals or waiting on an announcement about Alex Pietrangelo’s contract thanks to a tweet from Jamie Rivers.
Well, there’s no announcement about the latter and at the time of this writing no conclusion to the former. But there is the promise of some run and gun hockey tonight. Toronto’s leading the league in offense, though their defense could’ve been sharper in their 6-5 OTL on Saturday night. The Blues, especially the line featuring Sammy Blais, Ryan O’Reilly, and David Perron, have been masters at getting pucks to (and in) the net.
