Game one went about how everyone expected - Winnipeg came out hitting hard (including a hit on Jordan Binnington by Mark Scheifele that was an “accident”), and they kept the Blues on their toes through the first period and a half. Binnington’s one goal allowed was on noted Blues Killer Patrik Laine in the first, but the Blues clamped down on the Jets’ offense. As the Jets hit the Blues, St. Louis adjusted their plan and just decided to plow through the Jets step by step in the third period, and it worked.
