A long-term Kyrou injury would be the final nail in the coffin for this season

The St. Louis Blues cannot catch a break this season. They're 10-12-7 through 29 games in the 2025-26 season, good for 27 standings points--three more points than the dead-last Nashville Predators. The Blues' goaltending has been a disaster, head coach Jim Montgomery can't find any answers, and there's no clear path back to contention--not in the short term, and barely in the long view.

Add a run of injuries to key players to the growing list of problems with this team, and the season's as good as over. Alexey Toropchenko is out for weeks, Nathan Walker's going to miss time, and rookie Jimmy Snuggerud--arguably the best goal scorer on the Blues--is going to miss a good chunk of time, too.
