Blues prospects Luke Opilka (USA), Vince Dunn (CAN), Jake Walman (CAN) and Niko Mikkola (FIN) have been named to the preliminary rosters for their respective countries for the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championships.
In addition, St. Louis natives Matthew Tkachuk and Ryan MacInnis were also selected to USA Hockey’s preliminary roster.
The 2016 IIHF World Junior Championships will feature some of the best young prospects from 10 countries as they compete for a championship in Finland. The tournament will begin Dec. 26, 2015 and wrap up with the Gold Medal Game on Jan.
