If the Blues were going to have any success in this series (or probably any series at this point) they needed to stay out of the box. Tonight was a perfect example of that. Bo Horvat scored his first goal of the night while on the power play. Quinn Hughes finds Horvat with a centering pass. Horvat one timed the puck beating Jordan Binnington. 1-0 bad guys.
The Canucks weren’t the only team to score on the power play in the first period. The Blues tied the game at one thanks to a power play goal of their own.
