Welcome to the part of the All Star Weekend that people actually want to watch, the skills competition. Will John Scott get a run at NHL commish Gary Bettman?
First and foremost, I am very disappointed to point out that fan vote winner John Scott will not have a chance to get five minutes at center ice, pummeling Commissioner Gary Bettman. That would have been epic. Unfortunately, you can't always get what you want. But you get what you need and that's hard shots, fast skating, breakaway hijinks and just old fashioned fun.
The Skills competition is like the Golden Globes, where the hosts are edgier, the participants are looser and it's not a stiff board affair.
