UConn, Friday’s opponent for the Big East opener, will be rescheduled, since the Huskies are on pause after a COVID positive test within their program. St. John’s gets lucky; DePaul is also on pause, and were set to face Seton Hall, so the Hall and the Red Storm will matchup instead on Friday afternoon at 4:30 pm on the CBS Sports Network.
Julian Champagnie was named to the Big East Honor Roll this week.
St. John’s had a scholarship available and signed 6’10” forward Esahia Nyiwe, who sometimes go by Zay.
