The 2019-20 season was a mixed bag for Mike Anderson as his first season as the head coach of the St. John’s Red Storm.
Other than a slip-up against a very good Vermont team and a tough loss at the hands of Arizona State, it was a perfect non-conference slate for the Johnnies, headlined by wins over West Virginia and a neutral site win against Arizona in San Francisco.
Things took a turn for the worse once Big East play started as the Johnnies just won three of its first 15 conference games but the tide started to turn again as the regular season came to a close.
