The Netherlands looks set to raise its license application and amendment fees for online gambling operators in the country from April 1st.
Arno Rutte, the State Secretary for Justice and Security, decided to update fees to reflect indexed 2021 rates.
The cost of a new remote gambling license will increase from €48,000 (£41,641) to €61,300 (£53,180) starting in April, and the cost of amending an existing license will increase from €8,000 (£6,940) to €10,200 (£8,848).
The changes are meant to pay for the operational expenses of the Dutch gambling authority Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), with personnel costs accounting for 83.
