Since 4K, otherwise known as Ultra HD, has begun to become a bit more common in households and the pricing has gone down a fair amount since the technology first debuted, it is only a matter of time before major sports will be seen in this newest definition.
Sky Sports, the leading sports network in the UK, clearly wants to lead that charge. They just announced that they will be airing Premier League soccer games in Ultra HD, for 4K televisions. Sky Sports will feature 126 Premier League games this upcoming season, starting with the defending champions Leicester City playing Hull City.
