German esports organisation SK Gaming has signed World of Warcraft guild Pieces ahead of the upcoming Race To World First (RWF) event scheduled to take place in early March.
As a result, the guild will change its name to SK Pieces. The first event for the newly-acquired guild will be the Race to World First event for the ‘Sepulcher of the First Ones’ raid.
The news comes at an interesting time for World of Warcraft. Despite the game not having a largely recognised esports title, the ‘race’ events have proven to be a very popular competitive mode in the game.
