Amateur esports platform PlayVS has announced a partnership with decentralised cloud infrastructure provider Theta Labs to launch an AI-powered agent focused on collegiate esports.
Known as the PCL Bot, the agent will support the PlayVS College League (PGL), one of North America’s largest collegiate esports leagues.
According to PlayVS, the PCL Bot will serve over 10,000 collegiate esports players and the wider community with access to information ranging from match schedules to tournament-specific rulings.
In addition to queries, the agent will also help users inquire about how colleges can become members of the league, along with assisting brands interested in becoming a sponsor.
