Malaysia Football League has partnered with EA SPORTS to launch the eMFL, an official version of the competition for FIFA.
The league has taken the initiative in an attempt to improve Malaysia’s esports ecosystem.
For the first season of eMFL, it will be sponsored by the local internet provider TM and gaming monitor manufacturer BenQ and supported by local esports organisation Esports Kuala Lumpur (ESKLA). Each club that currently competes in the MFL CIMB Super League will need to send a representative to participate in the eMFL tournament.
The eMFL started on July 1st and will run for 10 days, played exclusively on the PlayStation 4.
