LAFC signs multi-year deal with Esports Ent Group

NASDAQ-traded gambling operator Esports Entertainment Group (EEG) has signed a multi-year deal with the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC), a Major League Soccer franchise.

The agreement will see EEG become the franchise’s esports tournament platform provider, operating official events for the LAFC. The gambling firm will utilise its events organizing arm, Esports Gaming League (EGL), to manage and operate the tournaments.

Grant Johnson, CEO of Esports Entertainment Group, commented on the deal in a release: “We are excited to further extend our reach into MLS through our partnership with LAFC.
